This past President’s day my boyfriend and I headed out to Arizona and Nevada for the long weekend. We ventured out from Southern California to Arizona around 4 AM. Our first stop was Sedona, Arizona. We headed to the Honanki Ruins which is about 45 minutes outside of Sedona along a dirt road. The ruin site was so beautiful. The area around Sedona has beautiful red stone and canyons, truly breathe taking. The next stop that we went to was the Chapel of the Holy Cross. This church has beautiful vistas of the Sedona Valley.
The next day we had an early start to the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon was so beautiful and did not disappoint. I wish we could have stayed longer and did a proper hike around the Grand Canyon. After the Grand Canyon, we headed out to the Hoover Dam and ended our trip in Vegas were we stayed at the Vdara.
This trip was a wonderful get away. It was filled with a lot of nature and urban landscapes. Even though, there was a lot of drive time in between each destination, the views were breathe taking. The weekend went by too quickly and was too much fun. I can’t wait to the next adventure!
