Big Bear 2015| Photo Diary

Over Labor Day weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to head out Big Bear to explore the San Bernardino mountains. We arrived in Big Bear at around 9:00 AM to check into our Airbnb and then headed out to the Gold Mountain and Jacoby Trail. The Gold Mountain trail was really fun, but really challenging to do when you go on your own. We hope to go back again. When then headed to the Jacoby Trail which offered great scenic views and a more calmer trail. After, we headed out to the Village in the heart of Big Bear city to have lunch. We explored the downtown area and headed back to our cabin for the rest of the evening.

The next day, we went to check out Snow Summit and did some scenic hiking around the mountain top. To get to Snow Summit, you take the ski lift up and ride it up for about 15 minutes. The ride gives you great views of the lake and Big Bear city. We spent a good part of the late morning there and then headed down to the Village again. We did some souvenir shopping and grabbed some coffee too. Later that night, we went on an evening cruise around the lake and saw a great sunset. After the cruise we went to have a late dinner in downtown. It was a great way to end our short trip in Big Bear.

Big Bear is a great weekend getaway destination and offers a lot of fun outdoor. Till next time! See ya!

Photo Diary: A Day in Joshua Tree

This weekend my boyfriend and I wanted to go off roading and exploring for the day, but also near our place. We decided to head out to Joshua Tree, which is about a 2.5 hour drive from Los Angeles. While doing some research we found an easy trail to follow. We usually don’t like to off road by ourselves, just because it could be dangerous, but we did our research and found that this would be fine to do on our own. The trail is called the Geology Tour Road. It’s an 18 mile trail loop that goes into the center of the park. It give great views of the park and is an easy drive through the park. It is recommended that you use a four-wheel drive vehicle. But we think that you don’t necessarily need a four-wheel drive vehicle, but you definitely need a high clearance SUV. After we did the loop of the Geology Tour Road, we headed towards the Berdoo Canyon Road Trail. For this trail, you definitely should use a four-wheel vehicle. It does have some rough terrain that can be more difficult for none off-roading vehicles. At the end of this trail, is a sort of shooting range for amateur gun enthusiast, so you’ll see tons of shot gun shells everywhere. Overall, the trip out to Joshua Tree was amazing. I’ll definitely be back to do more exploring and hopefully some camping!

Death Valley!

This past weekend my boyfriend and I went to Death Valley to explore the area and to enjoy some off roading in my boyfriend’s Land Cruiser. I love the desert and it’s beauty! If you ever have the chance to go out there, do it! I watched amazing sunsets and was able to see the stars so clearly. It was an amazing experience and I would do it all over again! Here is a quick video of what went down. Enjoy!

Make sure to check it out in HD!

Pismo Jamboree: Riding the Dunes!

This past weekend, me and my boyfriend went on a mini road trip up to Pismo Beach for a Toyota event to ride the dunes! One of Wesley’s friends invited us out there to ride with them and to camp with them. It was the first time either of has ever beach camped before. I’ve been to Pismo before with my family and got to rent ATV’s and ride the dunes, but it was a first for my boyfriend. We headed up the 101 freeway in my boyfriend’s Land Cruiser and was ready for adventure. I had a lot of fun riding the dunes and experiencing Pismo Beach this past weekend. I suggest to anyone looking for a quick adventure for the weekend. Below are some pictures that I had snapped and a quick video of our mini adventure! Enjoy!
