Sephora Wish List

Today I thought I would share my Sephora Wish List, or Bucket List, items that I hope one day I would like to own. Below are the items that have been on my wish list for a while or items that I’ve recently heard about through friends and youtubers. Hopefully, soon, I will be picking up these items over time.

Perricone MD – Hypoallergenic Firming Eye Cream : Since I am getting older and lines and bags are getting more define on my face, I want to start investing in Eye Creams and other firming moisturizers and lotions. I’ve been using this brand of moisturizer for a while now and i really love it and I thought that eye cream would be a great investment to my skin.

Murad – Time Release Acne Cleanser : I’ve heard a lot about this brand by multiple Youtubers and I’m hoping to get my hands on this soon. I do suffer from adult acne every once in a while and I think that this product would help combat acne break outs and spots and blemishes. It seems like it’s light, yet very powerful.

Kat Von – D Lock It Tattoo Foundation :  I’ve been using Kat Von D’s pressed powder foundation for the last two years and it give amazing coverage even on it’s own. I really like full coverage foundations and since this foundation is called “Tattoo” foundation, I’m sure that I will get awesome coverage from this liquid foundation as well.

Hourglass – Veil Mineral Primer : Right now, I am currently using Benefit’s POREfessional Primer and I am currently loving it, but I’m hoping switch things up and try out the Hourglass Primer. I have really oily skin and since the name has “Mineral” in it, it sounds very light and natural. I’ve heard of this product through Youtubers and beauty bloggers all the time and I’m excited to hopefully try this out soon.

Buxom – True Nude Lip Foundation : This product claims to have long lasting power and claims to be smooth, which really caught my attention. My lips can get chapped really easily and I’m hoping that these claims will be true. Also, this item claims to match your lip color and give a “better than your lip color” natural color. I’m hooked!

Benefit Cosmetics – Boi-ing Concealer : Since I am a new lover of Benefit Cosmetics, I really want to try out their tried and true concealers. Ever since I started to dabble in make up, I’ve always heard about this product from friends and Youtubers a like. I’ve this product last and blends easily into to the skin while still concealing imperfections and blemishes. I want it!

Tarte – Gifted Amazonian Clay Smart Mascara : I don’t know what makes this smart, but this mascara looks like it has an amazing wand that while definitely lift and separate the lashes. This product claims to lengthen, condition, and repair your lashes, while hydrating and making your lashes healthier, which is always a plus. I’ve used another Tarte mascara and it is not disappointing.

Clinique – Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour : I’ve never really tried many products from Clinique, except for one old liptstick that my sister had laying around and it’s pretty good for being as old as it is. I’ve never used a stick formula contour before, so I thought that Clinique would be a great start. And because it is a stick form, it seems like it would be more precise in terms of where you want your contour to show and to start, I’d just have to practice blending out the harsh lines.

Nars – The Multiple : I only own one thing from Nars and that is there infamous blush in Orgasm. Because their products are on the higher end and I want to start to dabble more into their brand, why not use a product that has multiple uses? This product can be used for eyes, lips, body, and will give your skin an amazing glow… as it claims, which caught my attention. I’m really eager to give this try.

Smashbox – Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder : I have one product from Smashbox which is their BB cream, which I really love because it gives great coverage while still being light on the skin. When I saw this product and read the description, I had a feeling that I would really enjoy this product. This product claims to keep your skin hydrated while keeping your skin radiant. Also, this product claims to minimize signs of aging… we’ll see about that… Also, what caught my attention was that it has different packaging than most pressed powders in that you shave off only what you need and avoid mess! I need this!

First Impressions Review: Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation

I recently went to Sephora to look for some new make up and decided to pick up Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation with SPF 15 in Medium Beige. I’ve heard so many good things about this product and thought, “Why not?” I absolutely love this packaging on this product and the wood details. This product claims to be a long lasting 12-hour and oil free make up. Since I have pretty oily skin, this product really caught my attention. When I tried this product it gave a natural and smooth finish to my skin. I could tell that this foundation was a high quality foundation with great lasting power and good coverage. What I like about this product so far is that a lot goes along with this foundation. All you need for the day is about a small dime sized amount for your whole face for the day. So far, I’m pretty impressed with the product and I’m hoping that this foundation will work out for me.

Hope you enjoyed this quick post! Till next time! 🙂

Face of the Day: Everyday Products

IMG_9603

Today, I thought I’d share with you my “Face of the Day” of my everyday products. Shown above are the products that I use on a daily basis. These products are some of my favorite and reliable products. I’ll start from left to right:

L’Oreal Colour Richie in Silky Java: The lipstick is a great neutral lipstick that easy glides on and a smooth a rich finish.

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35 in Light: This is a light weight BB cream that gives great coverage on a casual day out. It last all day!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown: I’m still getting use to using pencil brow products rather than powders or wax, but I’m loving this product. The pencil can give a natural look to fill in your brows and you can brush it out with the other end of the product.

Tarte Amazonia Clay Waterproof Concealer in Light: This concealer gives great natural coverage with all day lasting power.

Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder: If you like to contour your face, this product gives a great natural shape to your face. It easily blends and doesn’t give any shimmer to give off a natural finish.

Maybelline Line Stiletto Eyeliner in Blackest Black: This product has been one of my favorites for a long time. This product gives a great opaque black color and last all day with greasy lids.

bareMinerals READY Blush in The One: I love this blush! A little bit goes a long way with this blush. The color is a nice natural rose color that looks great with all skin types.

Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Splashes Waterproof Mascara: This mascara does not clump. No matter how much you put on, it does not clump which is a great plus. This product last all day and easy to apply.

Benefit’s thePOREfessional: This product has easily become a holy grail product of mine. It keeps my skin oil and shine free and helps keep my make up on all day.

Kat Von D Lock-it Tattoo Powder Foundation in Medium 57: This powder foundation is a great full coverage foundation. Even without concealer or liquid foundation, it gives great coverage regardless. And also, a little goes a long way.

Review: Kat Von D Lock It Powder Foundation

Aloha all! I’m back to give you my quick 2 cents on a new product I’ve been using for the past couple of months.

I bought the Kat Von D “Lock It” Powder Foundation a few months ago from Sephora. This is one of my first “name brand” make up items I’ve bought besides any MAC products. I was a little reluctant because it is priced at $34 compared to MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Plus at $27. But I thought, “Ehhh, why not? I want to try something new.” When I first saw it at the store, the first thing I did was to try a swatch of the color. The first thing I noticed was that this powder was a High Coverage powder foundation, which I like. And also, that the powder was really soft. I had one of the girls that worked at the store help me pick out a color and once I saw it on my face, I wanted to buy it.

I’ve been using the foundation for about 2 months or so and it looks like I’ve barely touched it. One thing that I love about this foundation is that the compact doesn’t get super messy or powdery because the foundation is so thick. The foundation has great coverage. I like to use a dense flat top brush when applying this. I think that it is buildable, just depending how much coverage you want. I was also intrigued to use it because the product claims to be “A 24-hour powder foundation with a flawless, matte finish.” I have very oily skin, so anything with those words always excite me. Of course it’s not a 24-Hour powder foundation, but it does last a good 6 hours before you need to touch up. And it does have a nice matte finish without making you look cakey. The packaging is gorgeous, but a bit bulky, but I don’t mind. This foundation is a great investment and great quality product to use. My skin has not broken out because of this, so that’s a plus. Overall, I really like product because it does keep me matte and shin free. It is pretty comparable to the MAC Studio Fix Powder, but if you don’t mind spending the extra few dollars, try this one out.

So for a quick verdict: I recommend this product 🙂

Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoyed it. Till next time, see ya!

Here are a few make up items that I have recently picked up within the last 2 months. It’s not much, but I thought I’d share my thoughts on them 🙂 Enjoy!

I have been really getting into Revlon products recently. I love their products because of the quality and the packaging. Considering that they are “Drug Store” products, their quality is just impecable.

I picked up 2 items from their “Photoready” collection and I am loving them! I got the concealer and the liquid foundation. As you can see, I have been using them. The concealer is extremely creamy and glides on wonderfully. It really covers your dark under eye circles and your spots. I love this thing! The liquid foundation has been a favorite of mine since the summer. It has medium coverage and it has tiny sparkles in it to help make you shine without the greasiness! Love these two!

Lipsticks man. I love them, but I barely wear them! LOL. I picked up two lipsticks from Rimmel and Revlon (of course!). The Rimmel lipstick is from the Kate Moss line, which is amazing! The color is 08 Rouge. This color is a mauvey pink color that is a great nude color. It’s kind of like you lip’s color, but better! The one thing that I love about Rimmel lipsticks is they always smell amazing! The second lipstick is from Revlon. The color is 325 Toast of New York. The packaging is just amazing and so elegant. The color is a bit of a brownish red, but it’s not too intense. It’s ver moisturizing and gives great color pigmentation.

An oldie, but a goodie. I think I will always go back to MAC press powders. Despite the price of these things ($28) I love this product. Maybe a holy grail product. I picked this up in December and it has been serving me well. The coverage of this product is wonderful! You can wear this own it’s own or with a liquid foundation underneath, it all depends on how much coverage you want. I love this product!

Hope you enjoyed this post! ‘Till next time! 🙂
