Tonight I watched the last half of the DNC and waited for former President Clinton’s official nomination of President Obama. I was extremely anxious to watch President Clinton’s speech because I knew that he was a great speaker and that, even though I was 3 years old when he was elected President, he was a great President. The ideas throughout his speech, especially about empowering the middle class, are exactly what our country needs right now, and more importantly, it’s the same ideas shared by Barack Obama. I thought his speech tonight was very captivating and very honest. One of the best lines from President Clinton’s speech tonight was that “President Obama started with a much weaker economy than [he] did. No President, nor [himself] or any of [his] predecessors could have fully repaired all the damage [President Obama] found in just 4 years.” I really appreciated how honest President Clinton was. I think that with that characteristic, it welcomed more Americans to listen in on what he had to say and what President Obama has to offer in the next 4 years.
In case you missed it, here is President Clinton’s official Presidential re-nomination of Barack Obama.
